Nutrient-Rich Hydrangea Soil
☑ An all-natural and earth-positive mix — without any harmful ingredients like peat moss and coco coir
☑ Enhances water retention, improves aeration, and boosts nutrient uptake
☑ Adds abundant organic material to create the best soil for hydrangea
Vegan Compost
Our aged, vegan compost adds high-quality organic matter to the soil mix, improving soil structure and optimizing drainage.
And since it’s a natural source of nutrients for your hydrangeas, it reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers that harm soil microbes and decrease fertility.
Carbon-Negative Biochar
Our earth-positive biochar, made solely from organic waste material, boosts nutrient and water retention in the soil. This creates the fertile and moist soil that hydrangea plants need.
Moreover, every ton of biochar produced removes three tons of CO2 from the carbon cycle — preventing it from contributing to climate change.
So, it’s an eco-friendly soil amendment, unlike the peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite in conventional hydrangea mixes.
Root-Boosting Mycorrhizae
Mycorrhizae (mahy-kuh-rahy-zee) are plant-friendly fungi that improve hydrangea’s water and nutrient uptake by expanding the roots’ reach. This happens with the help of fungal hyphae (branches or filaments) that connect the roots to a larger volume of soil.
The fungi also improve your hydrangea’s resistance to drought, high temperatures, and pests like nematodes and insects.
Step 1: Pre-Moisten
Before you plant hydrangeas, pre-moisten Rosy to help your hydrangea set in well.
To do this, add Rosy Hydrangea Soil to a container and water it until the soil holds enough to release a few drops when pressed.
Step 2: Pot or repot
Take a well-draining container and fill up 1/3 with the pre-moistened hydrangea soil.
Step 3: Plant
Gently loosen the root ball before planting hydrangea into the container with pre-moistened Rosy. Fill the remaining space with more potting soil, leaving a bit of room for watering.
Step 4: Water
For the first watering, thoroughly water the hydrangea soil mix from the top and let the excess water drain from the pot.
For future waterings, we recommend bottom watering (by placing your potted hydrangea in a container with water) since it can help avoid overwatering. This, in turn, can reduce fungal infections and leaf spots as your hydrangeas grow.
At Rosy, we ensure our processes are eco-friendly, from production to delivery.
Our entire supply chain has a net negative carbon footprint!
How?
We consciously curate the most earth-positive ingredients (especially biochar), packaging materials, and shipping services. Moreover, each bag of Rosy Hydrangea Soil Mix captures more than 2 kg of CO2 from the carbon cycle.
