"My office manager and I each have large fiddle-leaf figs in our conference room. They’re in the same window and get watered at the same time. I repotted mine with Rosy a couple months ago and it’s grown 4 new leaves. His has had no new growth. I feel kinda guilty"

Renata B.

"It’s worth the money my plants are thriving ! no gnats [tiny flying bugs] I usually find.

It’s simply the BEST"

"Rosy Soil has completely transformed my houseplant game! Since switching, my plants have shown incredible growth and vitality I've never achieved with other potting soils. Even my struggling plants have bounced back to life. My plants establish quickly and show immediate signs of thriving rather than transplant shock."

Nadine B.

"I gotta say I was skeptical at first. After a week I decided to check the roots — because there were NONE on this plant when I put it in. I WAS SHOCKED. It had grown gorgeous white, fuzzy roots in a week. I will not put my monsteras and scindapsus in any other substrate from now on."

Tina

"For a while I was dealing with root rot. I switched to something more well-draining, but that ended up getting too dry too quickly — crispy leaves. Rosy Soil has been a lifesaver. I haven't experienced any root rot since switching, and my plant roots are thriving. I'm even seeing more corms and babies in my plants."

Sheila

"I transplanted a Peace Lily and a Philodendron with Rosy Soil — tutorials said Peace Lilies can droop for days or weeks after transplanting. That didn't happen at all. My Peace Lily was perky and upright just hours after transplanting. I'm so pleased with Rosy Soil!"

Rosy vs Regular Soil

Most potting soils work against your plants — dense, soggy, and a welcome mat for gnats. Rosy's biochar-powered formula keeps soil airy, moisture balanced, and gnat-resistant. Dirt that actually does its job.

I was REALLY skeptical about this seed starting mix…

...upon opening this bag and seeing the makeup of it. First off, it is very, very black. I've never seen a soil mix so black. Is it the biochar?? It is also very well-draining; the water goes right through because it doesn't appear to have anything in it to hold onto the water (vermiculite, coco coir, peat moss). I get that it has all the good stuff that you want in a seed starting mix (compost, worm castings, mycorrhizae). But the very large pieces of bark that you find in this (and it's throughout the whole bag; it's not just a matter of the finer components settling to the bottom and then the bigger, "lighter" components remaining at the top) made me really question whether this would even work as seed starter. But I'm taking a risk, because if I give this seed starter a couple of weeks and still nothing grows, that pushes my seedlings that much further into the short spring growing season I have where I live (desert of SoAZ). At the same time, I've been trying to start seedlings indoor for a few seasons now, and often unsuccessfully, even with the finer, lighter seed starting mix of other brands and mixed with worm castings and coconut coir, mind you. Even that has given me choppy results, so at this point, really, what do I have to lose (again)? Half of the time seeds will germinate "on time," the other half of the time the seeds take forever to germinate.

Well, it's been only 3 days and I am VERY pleasantly surprised. Of the 15 different seedlings I planted, about 4 of…

The best soil - ever - for my microgreens

At the recommendation of the Rosy Soil people I bought the seedling soil for my microgreens. I love the rich dark color. I had a feeling that the bio char and worm castings would be beneficial and they are. My micro greens were ready 2 days earlier than usual. My husband and I both felt their flavor was improved!

I love that this soil does not have that awful chunky white rocky stuff in it - forgive me, I forget what it's called but it's in most soils. With Rosy Soil I'm getting 100% growing medium that's rich and robust.

Historically one uses some sort of seaweed fertilizer for micro greens. I have not felt the need to do this with my Rosy Soil - which is nice, it's one less thing to fuss with, and one less expense. I'm getting highly nutrient dense micro greens with just this great soil.

Seed Starter Mix Without Soil

I start veggie seeds every February using starter mix without soil. Many people don't realize that everything that seedling needs for the first few weeks is right inside the seed. No nutrients are taken up from the surrounding soil until feeder roots are well developed. This seed mix is great because it's sterile -- no fungus or bacteria to damp off the baby plant -- and it has a light nutrient content that nourishes the seedling after its roots finally start to develop. It holds water without getting soggy or heavy. So you can start your seeds in 3 inch pots if you want, no transplanting until you're ready to put them out in the garden in April.

Great seedling soil!

I love this soil! Holds moisture well especially for germinating seeds! Biggest plus is the organic additives. No peat moss or synthetic fertilizers whatsoever. My seedlings started to germinate in three days and sprouted!

Nice packing and good quality soil

This is a resealable bag which is useful to me to properly store the unused soil for later. As advertised I noticed less transplant shock for my pothos which I propagated in water first before transplanting in a pot. My plant looks healthy.
